About Us

Who We Are

Parrott Telecoms is a Lagos-based acquisition company focused on buying and growing small and medium businesses across Nigeria's telecoms sector. We look for well-run businesses — ISPs, VAS providers, niche operators, and telecom infrastructure companies — whose owners are ready for an exit, a growth partner, or both.

Our Founder

Four decades of deal-making, now on the buy side.

Parrott Telecoms was founded by Mr. Mohammed Edewor, a Lagos-based legal and business practitioner with more than four decades of experience advising multinational corporations, financial institutions, and government agencies across Africa — with a specialisation in mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Mr. Edewor was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980 and admitted to the International Bar Association in 1986. He began his legal career under the mentorship of the late Chief F.R.A. Williams (SAN, QC, CON), one of Nigeria's most respected legal figures. In 1984, he founded Mohammed Edewor & Company (trading as Edewor & Co.), later consolidating it with Ndidi Edewor & Company of Benin City — established in 1970 — into the practice that operates today.

Edewor & Co.'s corporate practice covers company formation, foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and joint ventures — advising clients including telecom-sector names such as 9mobile, TISI Telecoms, and Teleology Africa.

In November 2018, that expertise moved from advisory to the boardroom: Mr. Edewor was appointed a Non-Executive Director of 9mobile as part of the new board constituted following Teleology Nigeria Limited's acquisition of the company — one of the most closely watched M&A transactions in Nigeria's telecom history. Parrott Telecoms was built to apply that same acquisition discipline to smaller, founder-owned telecom businesses that rarely get access to buyers who understand the sector from the inside.

He also holds board and ownership interests across energy, marine, and infrastructure ventures, including Fiat International Ltd, Horizon Oil International Limited, and Aquafront Limited, among others — experience in structuring, financing, and governing acquired businesses across sectors.

Our Mission

To give owners of small and medium telecom businesses a serious, fair, and fast path to an exit or growth partnership — led by people who have actually sat on the buy side of a major Nigerian telecom transaction, not just read about one.

Our Values

How we behave at every stage of a deal.

Integrity

Clear terms, no bait-and-switch valuations.

Confidentiality

Your staff and customers hear about a deal on your timeline, not ours.

Discipline

Every acquisition follows the same rigorous diligence, whether the deal is small or large.

Continuity

We acquire to grow businesses, not to dismantle them.

Let's talk about your business — in confidence.
